  • How are informational rights affected in the digital age by information technology and AI?
  • How can regulation care for the ethical design and use of  AI?
  • Is there a way to assign platforms a positive role to improve democracy and human rights?

I conducted my research at the Institute for Information, Telecommunication and Media Law, at the University of Münster, along these questions in the past two years.

I am exploring how new regulation of the digital media and information space can enhance the media's democratic role in society, foster freedom of expression, media freedom and pluralism.

The specific problem areas that I research are: disinformation, media freedom and pluralism in the European Union, strategic litigation against public participation, and online hate speech.
